Wanting to start your own Single Moms Group?
The first step in launching your program is gaining the support from your local pastor or community leader. We recommend starting with the The Church and the Single Mom book by Jennifer Maggio for use in your presentation. It will help you develop a formal presentation as it is full of statistics, biblical instruction, stories and steps on how to get started.
Once your church or organization is ready to move forward with a support group, The Church and the Single Mom Ministry Resource Kit will help in answering many pressing questions.
The kit is a comprehensive packet designed to equip churches on how to launch a single parent support group from the beginning, as well as provide a plan for improvement of existing programs. It is a complete How-to guide with basics on getting started including FAQ's, Do's and Dont's and more.
The kit includes:
A start-up guide workbook
Teaching DVD by single parent expert Jennifer Maggio
4 - The Church and the Single Mom books
Interactive CD's for customizable print materials
Volunteer training
And more.
Purchase of kit includes a 30-minute phone consultation with Jennifer Maggio.
Once you have learned how to launch your program, you must decide on teaching material for your support group. We recommend Overwhelmed: The Life of a Single Mom by Jennifer Maggio as a viable launching point.
TLSM offers information on a barrage of topics, such as long-term success and growth, fundraising ideas, best practices, and more. We can also help you plan single parent events or train your staff and volunteers.
